In the aftermath of the Voice referendum, Indigenous Australians are still fighting to be heard

On 14 October 2023, on the evening of the result of a historic referendum on the future of Indigenous people in Australia, many Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islanders were left speechless. The vote, which aimed to recognise Australia's two Indigenous groups in the country's constitution and to grant them a ‘Voice' in parliament resulted in a massive rejection of the proposal.
