Ahead of its release, Silksong was the most wishlisted game on the platform with 4.8m wishlists. Of course, part of that success is down to the popularity of the original Hollow Knight. According to GameDiscover's data, there's a 78.78 percent overlap in audience between the two games, with 22 percent of all Hollow Knight players on Steam buying the sequel. The original game sold 15m copies, with sales skyrocketing due to extended hype around Silksong.
