Andover - Joseph Francis Sansivero, 80, of Andover, passed away on March 4, 2025. Joe was born March 25, 1944, in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Jean Rinaldi Sansivero and Anthony Sansivero, and grew up in Maspeth, NY. Joe graduated from Grover Cleveland High School, Brooklyn, NY, in 1961, then went on to serve in the United States Army in 1965, until honorably discharged in 1971. Joe served as a Military Police Officer in Stuttgart, Germany. Joe received the National Defense Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, and recognition as a Marksman. Joe worked as a Legal Secretary with Rubin and Rudman LLP in Boston until he retired on January 6, 2012. Joe loved his work and the many friends he made while working for Rubin and Rudman for 24 years. Joe loved to travel the world, dance, and design and create his own custom shirts - he was a skilled seamster. Joe was a board member and corporate secretary for the Ontological Design Community (ODC), a non-profit educational organization focused on the human experience, community, and well-being. Joe was a faithful member of St. Cecilia Parish in Boston, and Christ Church in Andover, where he was spiritually active in worship, community, and service. Joe loved his Andover, MA community. Especially his 2nd family from AMICI Way, his great friends Paula Leed, Matt McGarry, Mark Blair, Lindsay Shea, Robert & Karen Walker, Russell Green, Jape Payette, Rev. Jim Dodson, his friends at Butcher Boy Market, and many other members of the Andover community. Remaining to cherish Joe's memory are his brother, Anthony and his wife Wendy, his brother Frank, his sister-in-law, Patricia, nieces, Natalie Petro and her husband Joseph, and Stephanie Sansivero, nephews Francis Sansivero and his wife, Mitzi, Anthony Sansivero and his wife, Jennifer, Christian Sansivero. Preceding Joe in death are his parents, Jean and Anthony Sansivero, his brother Michael Sansivero, and his nephew, Michael Sansivero.
