It was all about that sax at Nilüfer Yanya’s recent show at The Broadberry in Richmond, VA. Well not all about it, certainly Yanya’s expert guitar playing and unique vocals took center stage. But after watching her excellent set, one of the abiding thoughts was that her studio recordings need more saxophone. Especially if her touring saxophonist/keyboardist Jazzi Bobbi is playing it.
