As a kid, KVMR 89.5 FM volunteer broadcaster Laura Miller admits she was “already chompin’ at the bit” to get into radio and be involved with it any way she could. “The radio was always glued to my ears,” she recalled. She left to run a record store in Carmichael for nine years after that, and she once headed to Mendocino County to run a community National Public Radio station called KZYX. Now, however, she’s back in Nevada County, where she conducts estate sales for a business called Laura Miller Estate Sales. Oh, Laura also hosts “Diamonds and Rust,” alternate Saturdays 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. (89.5 FM, kvmr.org streaming).
