As Ralph Henson and some other KVMR 89.5 FM volunteers were putting away some sound equipment for a recent in-station house concert, someone noted that it was the second concert he’d produced in two weeks. He’s on the North Columbia Schoolhouse Cultural Center’s program committee and helped produce a David Evans blues concert May 16, then turning it into, what else, a KVMR radio special. And he’s an elected broadcaster member of KVMR’s 9-member Program Committee, which evaluates broadcasters and makes scheduling recommendations. “We had to remove the CDs from the shelves in alphabetical order, adapt the shelves to the new library walls and put the CDs back.”You talk about infrastructure issues. Oh, and he even gets to do radio shows pretty regularly, including Blues Spectrum 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. this coming Sunday afternoon (89.5 FM, kvmr.org streaming).
