The 19th annual KVMR Celtic Festival & Marketplace is coming right up, still another live remote music festival broadcast is this coming weekend and there’s even a sausage party on the patio for listeners next Monday. Moreover, students 10 to 18 years of age can receive one $5 daily ticket (savings up to $20) if they participate in the free Youth Arts Program taking place Friday, October 2nd from 4 to 7 p.m.“The Youth Arts Program is intended to give area youth an opportunity to spend time with world-class artists across the genres of music, theater, and dance—inspiring them to either get involved with or continue the study of arts in their area of interest,” according to youth arts coordinator Laurie DesJardin. Main stage performers Looney’s Fortune will conduct a music workshop, and this year’s youth stepdancing class will be taught by Melissa O’Sullivan of the O’Sullivan Academy of Irish Dance in Roseville. Advance tickets and youth arts program registration are available at the festival website, kvmrcelticfestival.org , at the station (120 Bridge Street, Nevada City) or via phone (530/265-9073).
