KVMR 89.5 FM kicks off its live remote summer music festival broadcast schedule this coming holiday weekend by featuring “The Strawberry Way” this Thursday through Sunday at the Nevada County Farigrounds. the eclectic Nevada City radio station will partner with the Strawberry Music Festival’s Hog Ranch Radio crew to bring an over-the-air broadcast and internet stream (kvmr.org/player) to listeners near…and far. And he’s glad to report that two Strawberry stalwarts — who were missing last Memorial Day — will be back in their festival saddles this time. KVMR kicks off its coverage Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m., with live music performances going from 5 p.m. to approximately 11 p.m. that night. And the non-commercial community station has an ambitious line-up of music festival remote broadcasts already scheduled, including the Father’s Day weekend bluegrass festival, High Sierra Music Festival in Quincy on July 4th weekend, California Worldfest (July 14-17), the Nevada County Fair in August, September’s American River Music Festival and the KVMR Celtic Festival and Hangtown Halloween Ball in October.
