Stop by KVMR 89.5 FM’s new building almost any Friday afternoon, and you’ll get to meet volunteer receptionist Therese Tesene. “This place is just wonderful,” Therese says with a little bit of a gush. Therese wanted to volunteer somehow, and her sister suggested KVMR where neighbor and friend Edy Cassell just happens to be, duh, Volunteer Coordinator. “I did all the (Foster City) City Council minutes as part of my clerk duties,” Therese explains. In fact, KVMR Chief Engineer Dave (Buzz) Barnett has attended all of them and has long helped with the festival’s fairgrounds broadcast.
