For the 20th time, KVMR 89.5 FM will move almost all of its daytime programming out to the Nevada County Fair, once again giving fairgoers a unique opportunity to observe and enjoy live radio in action. The Nevada County Fair spirit must have rubbed off somehow because the Camillos are planning to move here from their home in Roseville. Highlights Saturday at the Nevada County Fair broadcast include a newbie and a legend performing live on “County Line Bluegrass” at 10 a.m. (streaming). And Camillo himself will hold a world music dance party to finish off the Fair broadcast from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon. But it also features how the elder Phillips saw the fair as an annual Nevada County ritual.
