Hard to believe, but it’s a year ago this week that KVMR 89.5 FM’s Wesley Robertson last produced one of the Nevada City radio station’s live music festival broadcasts. Sure, he wanted to take some time off from the hectic grind of managing the remote programming the eclectic station has become known for, especially in summer festival season. And this week Robertson’s back at the helm — in what he calls “a labor of love” — for broadcast of the American River Music Festival this Saturday and Sunday in the remote location of Henningsen-Lotus Park near Coloma, just off Highway 49 an hour or so south of the station. “Most of the players (remote broadcast volunteers and staff) have been keeping their chops finely tuned, anyway,” Robertson adds. “As usual, Matt Semonsen, the producer, has got some people I wasn’t familiar with, but I’ve been doing research and they’re great bands.”Saturday’s live broadcast schedule (on 89.5 FM, kvmr.org streaming):–11 a.m. Keith Greeninger–12:15 p.m.
