Also calling into the Garden Forum will be Jo Ann Fites-Kaufman, retired fire scientist from the US Forest Service, with a PhD in Forest Resources from the University of Washington. In addition to over 24 years working for the US Forest Service, she has worked as a consultant for the Yuba Watershed Institute, the Fire Safe Council and as a community volunteer. With over 30 Firewise Community Fire Hazard and Risk Assessments she is dedicated to improving fire safety, healthier forests and air in Nevada County and beyond.
