Last year on Black Friday, KVMR had a “Chain of Giving” fundraiser to help combat local food insecurity, and our listeners really stepped up to make a difference. We raised much needed funds for community radio and shared the spirit of giving with local organizations on the front lines of food insecurity, helping to deliver 100 bags of groceries and one TON of pet food to those in need. Thanks to the generosity of SPD Markets and Incredible Pets, the Chain of Giving is BACK! For the first 200 donations KVMR receives today SPD Markets will donate a $20 bag of groceries to the Food Bank of Nevada County, and Incredible Pets donates 5 lbs of pet food to Sammie’s Friends no-kill animal shelter.
