Goose – Dripfield (No Coincidence)Formed in Norwalk, Connecticut in 2014, the 5-piece Goose can rightly be considered a “next generation jam band,” as improvisation is at the center of their live performances. Their latest studio album is their most successful yet. It features the fluid lead guitar and smooth vocals of co-founder Rick Mitarotonda, with highlights being “Hungersite” and the title track. Nearly every track boasts an eclectic keyboard mix from Peter Anspach, who plays Hammond B-3 organ, clavinet, piano and synthesizers (and also contributes guitar when required). Things are moving along quickly for Goose this year, with high-profile festival appearances at Bonnaroo, High Sierra, and Peach Music, and Trey Anastasio jumping on stage to jam during their sold-out shows at Radio City Music Hall.
