Raymond Andrew Dalton Sr., 63, of Brownsboro, Texas, passed away on April 18, 2025. A service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at First Methodist Church, 507 Broad Street, Chandler, Texas 75758. Ray was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Hardworking and driven, he was a man of strong will, sometimes rough around the edges, certainly stubborn- But if you knew Ray, you knew he had a heart of gold. He was a mentor to many, shaping lives through his example. To his children and grandchildren, he passed down the core values of hard work and integrity. Gifts that will carry his legacy forward for generations. Ray was most in his element outdoors, whether he was casting a line, out in the woods hunting, or hosting a good old-fashioned fish fry surrounded by the people he loved the most. Those were his favorite moments. Simple, joyful, shared with family and friends. Ray worked in the Oil Field the majority of his life, later to own his business Dalton Construction. Some of his greatest memories were spent with his wife on trips traveling back to Alaska where he was born. Ray was a Mountain of a man, not just in stature but in spirit, he inspired everyone he was around to be a better person. He was one of a kind, Jack of all trades. There will never be another like him. He will forever be missed, but not forgotten. Ray was born on October 9, 1961. Ray was preceded in death by his father Aaron Allen Dalton Sr; Brother Aaron Allen Dalton Jr. and Father Figure/Mentor Don Daniel. He is survived by his Wife of 33 years Theresa Ann Dalton of Brownsboro. Mother Betty Jean Dalton of Chandler. His children Raymond Andrew Jr. (Andy) and Whitney Dalton of Brownsboro; Mitchell and Kristi Steele of Arp; Samantha and Grant Spear of Brownsboro; Wesley and Savannah Steele of Brownsboro; Sarah and Glenn Devlin of Brownsboro. 13 Grandchildren. Gavin, Megan, Billy, Colt, Kash, Gentry, Aubrie, Sailor, Marshal, Everett, Hendley, Aaronwayne and Lawson. While flowers and plants are appreciated and welcomed, the family kindly invites those who wish to honor Ray Dalton to consider a donation in his memory to Texas Vets Hunting with Soldiers, located in Paducah, Texas - a cause close to his heart.
