DP World UK has launched a Low Carbon Truck Programme Trial, providing UK HGV fleet owners with an opportunity to trial Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO). In partnership with leading renewable fuel providers, the programme supports businesses in making tangible progress on their sustainability journeys. Claims are capped at a maximum allocation of 50,000 litres or 10 vehicles per group of companies per port. Participating companies will also be asked to attend a free eight hour carbon literacy training workshop to strengthen understanding of carbon emissions, reporting and decarbonisation strategies tailored to the road freight and logistics industry. This initiative forms part of DP World’s wider commitment to lead by example in climate action and supporting our partners in meeting Scope 1 and Scope 3 emissions targets.
