A Gloucestershire police spokesman said: "Police are investigating following a report of a suspected road rage assault in Gloucester on Saturday night (21 September). "It was reported that a man, who had been driving a black Audi, followed a woman as she drove through Gloucester. "The woman got out and challenged the man, at which point he spat, shouted and threatened to run her over. "A member of the public intervened and the man then returned to his Audi and drove off, hitting the woman with his car in the process.
