Millions in UK face serious health issues over 'alarmingly low' hours of sleep a day

While many people might not be taking their sleep struggles seriously, one expert is urging them to make their rest a priority.
46% were operating on “alarmingly low levels of sleep” at less than six hours per night.
The NHS recommends adults get seven to nine hours of sleep per night.
The NHS website says: "You can buy tablets or liquids (sometimes called sleeping aids) from a pharmacy that may help you sleep better.
Sleep aids like white noise machine, earplugs and blackout curtains can help adapt your bedroom into a sleepy sanctuary.
