A level crossing on the West London Line will close for four days next month. Mitre Bridge level crossing, just south of Willesden Junction, will be closed between 0140 on Saturday October 25 and 0515 on Wednesday October 29. Network Rail has said it is “at the end of its design life” but the work will lift a speed restriction from the line. It will also renew 2,000 metres of high-voltage power cables and upgrade a set of points at Kensington Olympia as part of track maintenance being carried out during the closure. During the closure passenger services will not run between Clapham Junction and Willesden Junction, with Southern’s Watford Junction service terminating at Clapham.
