The bitter dispute which has shut down much of London Underground this week could be extended to the Elizabeth line. A Transport for London (TfL) spokesperson said there were “no plans” to close ticket offices. “There’s a Labour mayor and Labour promised to introduce the biggest wave of in-sourcing in a generation, with better jobs, better terms and conditions. What we see every day, for our members, is more outsourcing, more attacks on our terms and conditions, and more whipping up industrial dispute,” Dempsey said. In a post on X, Khan urged the RMT “to get around the table with TfL so this dispute can be resolved”.
