The viaduct is currently being built on piers, which will eventually be used for the Curzon 1 viaduct. It was scheduled to be moved into place during a seven-day blockade of the Cross City North line with passengers transferring onto bus replacement services. In a statement HS2 Ltd said: “Progress on the Curzon 2 viaduct has been slower than anticipated due to the complexity of welding and availability of skilled UK workers."
