The probability of remaining corticosteroid-free at 5 years was 31.5% in the CD plus T2D group vs 38.5% in the CD-only group.
At 5 years, the probability to be free of drug-related events was 94.2% in the CD plus T2D group vs 97.6% in the CD-only group.
In the follow-up, 749 individuals in the CD plus T2D group (10.4%) received anti-tumor necrosis factor therapy vs 878 in the CD-only group (12.2%), and 330 in the CD plus T2D group (4.6%) received interleukin-23 inhibitors vs 387 in the CD-only group (5.4%).
Neoplasms occurred in 3.5% of individuals in the CD plus T2D group and 3.2% in the CD-only group.
Also, 51.5% of patients in the CD plus T2D group had at least 1 mental, behavioral, or neurodevelopmental disorder diagnosis vs 41.2% in the CD-only group.
