This objective will be accomplished through the establishment of regional centers for journalists from Eastern Europe countries. The SAFE Center Manager leads medium-sized field offices housing complex projects or a portfolio of multiple projects. He/she supervises assigned staff to meet the above duties and to foster their professional development; creates an office atmosphere in line with IREX policies and customs. He/she may be requested to make contributions to IREX new business initiatives and seeks and forwards to IREX/DC information that will help with future new business initiatives. In addition to the above skills, the ideal candidate has excellent cross-cultural communication skills, English proficiency, and familiarity with the regional media environment.
