The crimes occurred in Cooper’s Calabasas home in 2006 and 2007, and involved a victim who was between 12 and 13 years old at the time. But despite the eight-year prison term handed down by a judge in July 2022, Cooper has been out of custody for more than six months already. Having been ordered to register as a sex offender after his conviction, he is listed on the California Megan’s Law Website with an address in the Calabasas Park Estates neighborhood. As a result, Cooper served a bit more than two years and four months in state prison. After his arrest in June 2018, Cooper spent time out of custody with an electronic monitoring device on his ankle.
