After bolstering their receiver room in the offseason by drafting Matthew Golden, the Green Bay Packers at one point kicked the tires on potentially trading Romeo Doubs. Per The Athletic's Matt Schneidman, the Packers had "conversations" about dealing Doubs during the offseason. Despite those talks over the summer, Schneidman noted a trade involving Doubs doesn't seem likely to happen during the season. Doubs was the name that popped up as the most-likely trade candidate because his status with the organization seemed uncertain. Despite the offseason questions, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur told Kay Adams in no uncertain terms that Doubs wasn't going anywhere.
