The highly anticipated match between John Cena and Brock Lesnar will open the WWE Wrestlepalooza premium live event on Saturday. At SummerSlam last month, Cena dropped the WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes in the main event. Cena is in the midst of his farewell tour, as he will retire from active in-ring competition at the end of 2025. Lesnar and Cena have faced off many times over the years with both of them scoring some big wins. It was widely expected that Cena vs. Lesnar would be the main event of Wrestlepalooza, but putting them in the opening spot opens the door for WWE champion Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre or CM Punk and AJ Lee vs. Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch to close the show.
