The Atlanta Falcons released kicker Younghoe Koo on Friday, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo and Tom Pelissero. Atlanta also signed replacement kicker Parker Romo to a two-year contract, per Garafolo and Pelissero. The Falcons benched Koo in favor of Romo after he missed a game-tying field goal at the end of the team's 23-20 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 1. The 31-year-old connected on just 73.5 percent of his field goals last season, the second-lowest mark among the 16 kickers to attempt more than 30 field goals. Given his recent struggles as well as his game-tying miss in the Falcons' season-opener, they reportedly decided to part ways with him.
