Senior quarterback Kaidon Salter led the Colorado Buffaloes to a 21–3 first-half lead over the Wyoming Cowboys on Saturday at home, making a strong statement in his return to the starting lineup. In his last outing — a 31-7 win over Delaware — Salter threw for 102 yards on 13-of-16 passing and added a rushing touchdown in limited action. Fans were impressed by Salter in his comeback, as he looked like a brand-new quarterback — cool, confident and fully in command of the Colorado offense. After a scoreless first quarter Saturday, Colorado flipped the switch in the second. Striking once more before the half, Price punched in a one-yard touchdown run to give Colorado a 21-3 lead at the break.
