The Washington Commanders blew out Pete Carroll and the Las Vegas Raiders at home, 41–24 on Sunday with backup quarterback Marcus Mariota under center. Starting quarterback Jayden Daniels was ruled out ahead of Saturday's game, missing his first NFL start with a knee injury. All three of Smith's touchdown passes went to wide receiver Tre Tucker, who racked up 145 receiving yards. Las Vegas trailed 20-10 at halftime after failing to keep the Commanders out of scoring range in a dominant Washington second quarter. Despite two late scores from the Raiders, Washington kept its foot on the gas and pulled away with a 41-24 win.
