Despite Oklahoma State's disappointing 1-2 start to the 2025 season, head coach Mike Gundy made it clear that he isn't planning on going anywhere. Per ESPN's Eli Lederman, Gundy told reporters in a news conference Monday that he doesn't expect the this season to be his last with the Cowboys. "100 percent," Gundy said when asked if he intended to remain at Oklahoma State beyond the 2025 season. Oklahoma State has now lost 11 of its last 12 games dating back to the 2024 season and 11 straight games against FBS opponents. Gundy, who is in his 21st season as head coach of the Cowboys, was speaking on the 17th anniversary of his infamous "I'm a man, I'm 40" rant.
