It doesn't matter what subjects you are throwing into a song that make it "deep." The song has to be good melodically, sonically, etc. I find GUY to be dated sounding in sonics and just never sticks in your mind. You can throw out to us all of the discussion about the song that you want into this as far as meaning, but that doesn't make a song great. It is missing an ingredient or more necessary to make it great. That's the reason no matter how big that video was no one cared about the song past her Little Monsters. She does a good job in concert with it, but it still never makes me want to pull it up on my iPod and listen to it. She needs to get back in the forefront of music and not sound like a rehashing of generic tunes.
