Malcolm Brogdon has transitioned into a role off the bench over the past few seasons, and it appears he'll keep that same role as a member of the New York Knicks. "Brodgon, I'm told he's expected to play a key bench role in the rotation," ESPN's Shams Charania said on NBA Today. Brogdon signed a one-year, non-guaranteed deal with the Knicks earlier this month, but he's reportedly still competing for a roster spot. After Brogdon signed with New York, SNY's Ian Begley noted that Brogdon will compete with Landry Shamet for the backup point guard role. Charania noted that Brogdon and Shamet signed deals "with the intent and the plan for them both to be on the roster on opening night" and are "expected to be on" the team.
