Elio was arguably one of those surprise Pixar releases of 2025. The animated movie follows young Elio, who is struggling to deal with the change after the loss of his parents. Elio lands a September Disney+ release dateWhen we first learned that Elio was hitting theaters, many suspected that a late September date would be when it would hit streaming. Directed by Madeline Sharafian, Domee Shi and Adrian Molina, and produced by Mary Alice Drumm, Disney and Pixar’s “Elio” releases in theaters June 20, 2025. Elio is coming to Disney+ on Wednesday, Sept. 17.
