China and the USA are racing to develop unmanned wingman drone fighter jets. As of September 23, 2025, the U.S. Navy has two aircraft carriers equipped with the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS). In new drones, China and the USA are transitioning over a decade to hybrid manned-unmanned fighter teams. By 2035, aircraft carriers can evolve from jet farms to drone hives. The US has to scale wingman superdrones to match surpass any China wingman drone production.
