Nissan will be consolidating its global design operations with the closure and downsizing of select studios in multiple regions. The Nissan Global Design Center will remain in Atsugi, as it continues to serve as the lead studio for the brand. Shortly after announcing its global design realignment, Nissan canceled this year’s Nismo Festival, likely in another effort to save money.
