Hyundai has announced that it will debut its first range-extended electric vehicle (REEV) in 2027.
And out of that total, Hyundai aims for 60% or 3.3 million sales to come from its lineup of electrified vehicles.
That includes its hybrid and fully electric variants, the Ioniq series, and eventually its new REEVs.
Hyundai expects to have over 18 hybrid models by 2030, but it is unclear if the new powertrain will debut on an all-new vehicle.
It could very well be offered as another option on an existing nameplate, much like the Tucson, Santa Fe, and their respective hybrid variants.
