Comment on ESCONDIDO: Grapevine will solve maze as it grows at arts center by commenter

Arts center and city officials worked together to obtain $22,000from the city’s Public Art Commission for the developmental phaseof the art piece, called “Grape Maze,” said Susan Pollack, thecity’s public arts consultant. The maze will travel along the north wall of the center’smuseum, connecting the museum area with the lawn at Grape Day Park.Contemporary artist Roman de Salvo will create the maze on the 151/2-by-51 1/2-foot wall. De Salvo has created several public art pieces in San Diego,including “Utility Filligree,” a construction of electrical conduitthat lights the stairwell of the Copley building at the Museum ofContemporary Art in San Diego.
