It has always amazed me how people leap to conclusions rather than wait for, or look at, evidence. The details in this case, as they are so far available, are inconclusive. Among the strongest evidence for in-store tampering is that professional cake bakers tell me it's very difficult to match the color of the frosting. Among the strongest evidence against the in-store hypothesis is the fact that the clear window of the cakebox is unobstructed at the check-out and it seems that no one noticed the extraordinary word. My best guess is that, one way or another, somebody in the store's bakery is complicit: either an anti-LGBT person or somebody in cahoots with the pastor.
