“Based on our collective memory, the city has not done any similar scale tree removal projects within the recent past,” Jackson said. Poway received funding from FEMA for its Hazardous Tree Removal Mitigation Grant projects. Tree removal will also occur throughout 750 acres of Green Valley open space.
