Country singer-songwriter Jamie O’Neal will be making her first performance at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts next month, but the Nashville resident said she is well familiar with the area. O’Neal has sung at several Carols by Candlelight fundraiser concerts in Escondido that were organized by Poway Mayor Steve Vaus. “I love the resort and the whole area,” O’Neal said, adding the PCPA “looks gorgeous” based on photos she has seen. “We watched a lot of ‘Hee Haw’ and immersed ourselves in the lifestyle,” O’Neal said of her lifelong love of country music. O’Neal said she plans to meet with fans after her concert in Poway.
