Chris and Erin Moody, owner of Rogue Farms in Ramona, are well-known locally for their booths at farmers markets that are full of fresh produce and homemade goods, their farm stand at home and generosity toward others. Cole established a GoFundMe, at www.gofundme.com/f/erin-and-chris-moody-of-rogue-farms, for the Moody family on Sept. 5, with a goal of raising $35,000. “Chris was a kind-hearted, hard-working man — a devoted father, loving husband and vital part of our community,” Cole said on the fundraising platform. In addition to helping run the farm, Chris Moody was a tile layer and the primary breadwinner of the Moody family. From their produce, Erin makes tinctures, teas, pesto, homemade pasta and pesto and also sold fresh eggs from her large poultry flock.
