San Diego Union-Tribune
Police hope a $2,000 reward will help them catch a man suspected of more than a dozen hate-crime vandalism acts at churches and religious shrines around San Diego in the past nine months.
The alleged crimes include graffiti left on churches and religious shrines of different denominations in Bankers Hill, Golden Hill, Hillcrest and North Park, police said.
“We believe this suspect is responsible for 14 crimes that we know of,” San Diego police Lt. Jason Weeden said in an email.
The suspect was described as a heavy-set White man between 25 and 30 years old who covers his face with dark material.
Crime Stoppers is offering the reward in partnership with the San Diego GLBTQ+ Historic Task Force.
