Calistoga Joint Unified spends $25,785 and St. Helena Unified School District spends $34,699 per student per year. In Napa County, where four of five school districts fall in the basic aid category, Napa Valley Unified is the exception. In California, of the top five school districts according to Niche.com’s latest rankings, four are basic aid districts.
