Pajunk, which makes spinal needles, catheters and other clinical products, says regional anesthesia is growing in prevalence in the U.S. thanks to its relatively quicker patient recovery times and fewer episodes of nausea or vomiting in the post-op period. The company asserted that regional anesthesia reduces the need for prescribing opioids to manage pain, a major concern as overdoses have rise to crisis levels across the U.S. in the last few years.
