As the off-season for some theme parks across the country approaches, some are closing for good, while others are gearing up for one last dance. Here is a list of some of the major theme parks that have announced closures in the near future. Another Six Flags property, California’s Great America in Santa Clara, may be closing its doors following the 2027 theme park season. Dixie Landin’ Theme Park in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has already closed its doors, the park announced on Facebook. The Louisiana theme park was open for the season for two weeks, starting on May 23, before its closure on June 2.
