TORONTO — Red Sox chief baseball officer Craig Breslow didn’t rule out the possibility of 22-year-old pitching prospect Luis Perales receiving a call-up this week or during the postseason. It was his first outing since undergoing Tommy John surgery in June 2024. He also made two relief appearances for Triple-A Worcester this past week, reaching 99.8 mph with his heater. “We’ll balance his recovery from Tommy John with the possibility that he can help us,” Breslow said. Perales underwent Tommy John surgery on June 27, 2024, after a strong start to the 2024 season.
