A man was killed in an “industrial accident” at a business in Avon Tuesday afternoon, according to police. Avon police and firefighters responded to a 911 call reporting an accident at 254 Bodwell St. in which a man injured his head shortly before 3 p.m., police said in a press release. First-responders found a man with fatal injuries inside the business. A blood transfusion truck from Canton and an ambulance from Stoughton also responded, but the man was declared dead at the scene, police said. Police did not identify the man or the business at which he died Tuesday evening.
