A recent video released by HuffPost entitled, Here’s Why We Don’t Need A ‘White History Month’, delivers the argument that it is “crucial” that more time should be spent on the contributions of minorities in history. While a woman in the video asserts that they already know every white founder in American history, it is probably more likely that many people do not know American history. Even if students are well versed in American history, it has been proven pedagogically that integrating all contributions of individuals into one context makes it far more meaningful to the learner.
