MINSK, 22 September (BelTA) –Karyna Shut of Belarus secured second place at the 2025 World Sambo Cup in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, BelTA has learned. Earlier this year, Karyna Shut also won silver at the World Sambo Cup in Armenia. Karyna Shut is also a medalist at the World and European Championships and a winner of the BRICS Games. Silver medals in the combat sambo division were won by Yelizaveta Lapayeva (under-59 kg) and Valeryia Khrushchova (over-80 kg). In total, more than 170 athletes from 12 countries competed at the World Sambo Cup in Dushanbe.
