Mark Lindquist LawA Newberg family whose home was destroyed during a flight school plane crash two years ago filed a lawsuit Friday against the cadet pilot and operators of the academy. “It was almost indescribably shocking,” Mark Lindquist, the Ferris family’s attorney, said of the crash. Also liable for damages is the estate of Barrett Bevacqua, a 20-year-old cadet pilot who died in the crash after the dual-control plane’s engines stalled and plunged more than 5,000 feet. “With that said, our hearts go out to all persons and their families who were affected by this tragic accident.”The Bevacqua family filed a $27-million lawsuit against the flight school and its sponsors in January. He says the Ferris family has moved six times while wrangling insurance companies and contractors in an attempt to rebuild their home.
